You will apply for graduation through your MyASU. Each term has their own graduation priority deadline. Yes, you can still apply for graduation after that date, but there may be a late fee added to the process. Any inquiries regarding the graduation process (not the ceremonies, only the matriculation process) can be directed to [email protected].
The deadlines and graduation application link are under the My Programs box on your MyASU homepage.
To appropriately gage your end of term processing, always refer to the ASU Academic Calendar to identify the start of the matriculation (degree conferral) process. Depending on which term you are completing your degree, you will want to identify the dates below.
Commencement is a University-wide graduation ceremony. They may or may not call your name at this event, but this is the one where Dr. Crow may be at and give a speech.
Convocation is a Watts College-specific graduation ceremony, and includes only programs from Watts. Your name will be called during this ceremony. Any questions regarding this ceremony can be directed to [email protected].
Special Interest and Cultural Convocations are a time for smaller groups to gather and celebrate students' graduation. The smaller setting provides the opportunity for individual recognition.
Summer graduates have the option of attending either the Spring (May) ceremonies or the Fall (December) ceremonies. Your application for graduation will still reflect the Summer timeline and term application, but once you have registered for your Summer classes, send an email to the appropriate unit to make sure you have access to the RSVP site.

As the date of your intended ceremony becomes closer, you may RSVP for commencement and/or convocation within your MyASU page under the Graduation tab.
Use this site for all your graduation "swag". Everything from class rings to cap and gowns. When selecting your cap and gown, you can select the Cap & Gown option that does not include the graduation package.

Students wanting letters from ASU stating that their graduation is pending or completed (prior to degree conferment) can access this link to get a letter from the ASU Registrar office. If the letter provided by the ASU Registrar is not sufficient, then send the rejection letter to [email protected] and we will have another one drafted from the School of Social Work. They will only do this for students who have enrolled in their final term courses and have already applied for graduation.
