The School of Social Work provides all of its students quality academic advising and support services to promote their success.
New MSW students must complete Canvas academic advising orientation prior to having their registration hold cleared.
Continuing MSW students are not required to schedule an appointment with their academic advisor prior to course registration. Mandatory advising holds have been removed.
Please schedule your appointment at a time when you have internet and computer access
Advisor Assignments:
As a reminder, students do not have an assigned academic advisor. Instead, you are able to schedule an appointment with the first-available advisor using this link: https://calendly.com/mswadvising
During the advising session, the student and the academic advisor review the student's progress through the program, discuss course pre-requisites, and develop an academic plan for completion of degree requirements. The advising session is also utilized to inform students of deadlines and to explain the petition process in case a student wants to request a curriculum variance.
