Training and
Continuing Education

Keeping up with current and effective approaches to social and behavioral health services, and maintaining licensure with the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (BBHE) takes time.

That's why the School of Social Work focuses on delivering the most practical and effective treatment tools to you, as well as providing a variety of continuing education.

Licensed social workers are required to engage in 30 clock hours of continuing education during the two years before the expiration of the license. Within the 30 hours, it is required to participate in 3 hours of Ethics or Mental Health Law and 3 hours in Cultural Competency/Diversity Training. At time of licensure renewal you are required to complete an online tutorial program. (The Board's rules have been revised effective January 3, 2021.)

Book a training for yourself, or request a custom session for your agency, either online or in-person with the ASU School of Social Work.

If you would like to register for a training, please visit our calendar page, or if you'd like to request a customized session for your business or organization, make a training request. We offer a variety of different CE types: https://socialwork.asu.edu/ce-accreditation.
