Application Steps
Create My AmeriCorps Account: https://my.americorps.gov/mp/login.do
Login and apply for AmeriCorps position. Then, on the home page go to “search listings” and there will be three drop down menus. Select the following attributes: "state/national", "Arizona", and “evidence-based care”. Submit your application OUR program (prevention position: IPV evidence-based care). Once submitted, I will “review” your application. You must log back in and “accept” your offer. Submit application NO LATER than 9/1/2018.
Submit IPT confirmation sheet. Set up regular supervision meetings with field instructor. Review and make plans for learning contract. Place for site visit with Field Liaison.
Benefits
Benefits include certification as a Domestic Violence Advocate, a cash scholarship, and the Segal Education Award. The cash scholarship is distributed during the fall and spring semesters; the education award, once a member has completed their term of service. The Segal Education Award can be used toward tuition or paying back student loans. AmeriCorps members can use this experience for course credit in accordance with their academic units policy.
