About OGBV

Welcome to the Office of Gender-Based Violence.

We are committed to developing solutions for preventing and intervening in intimate partner violence and other forms of gender-based violence. Office of Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) faculty engage in community-based research that seeks to generate understanding and develop evidence-based interventions to make a difference in the lives of survivors. Our Survivor Link AmeriCorps programs seek to engage students in national service, provide training about intimate partner violence and healthy relationships, and enhance the social service and public health response to domestic violence nationally.

Our team consists of ASU faculty, staff, students and volunteers. Together with community partners, grass-roots organizations, social workers, and survivors, we aim to reimagine interventions for those affected by gender-based violence.

We strive to educate students, volunteers, and community members about gender-based violence prevention and intervention. We do this through our Domestic Violence Certificates and AmeriCorps Survivor Link Programs

We engage in innovative, community-embedded research to better understand and intervene in gender-based violence.
