I am an anticipated MSW PAC graduate from ASU. I have lived in Arizona most of my life and consider Phoenix to be my home city. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in the year 2014 from ASU. Through my education and the jobs I held throughout my undergrad, I gained an interest in developmental psychology and how the environment impacts a person’s development. My original career outline was to gain a degree in counseling and focus my work on youth development. Before jumping into my Masters’s program I wanted to accomplish my long-held dream of joining the Peace Corps. I completed my 2-year service in Ukraine from 2015-2017. Throughout my time as a volunteer, I grew, learned, and gained a deeper understanding of community empowerment. I knew that I wanted to do more than be a counselor, I wanted to be an agent for community change. I then moved back to Arizona to reconnect with my family and begin my MSW PAC journey. I hope to use my newfound skills to serve my community.
During my downtime (that I very much look forward to having back once I graduate) I enjoy hiking. I am a homebody at heart, but physical activity is at the core of my self-care plan. I have long neglected many hiking spots throughout this side of the hemisphere and look forward to getting through as many as I can.
