Leonardo Gamboa is a Cultural Research and Evaluation Specialist at ASU OCHER.

He is a qualitative methodologist and a scholar from the US/MX border, who is dedicated to critical research approaches. As he continues to move forward in his academic pursuits, his goal is to explore the discourses that inform how we understand health, culture, and stigma and how research can help determine meaningful action. 

His research areas have included Chicana feminism and mental health, queer scholarship and the migrant experience, and the application of the culture-centered approach among students who live with bipolar disorder. He is committed to meaningful social change through continued innovative research and dedication to critical theory and a capacity to engage both policymakers and communities in hopes of creating a better world.
