Mattea Pezza

Mattea Pezza, BS is a Clinical Training and Research Specialist, and a former AmeriCorps VISTA with ASU OCHER. After receiving Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Justice Systems from Truman State University, Mattea served as a Youth Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Ukraine. With OCHER since July 2020, Mattea has been involved with the evaluation and research activities for the CDC CCR project, training, and research activities for the SAMHSA-funded CHW training center, and the research and evaluation of the Tucson Community-Based Crime Reduction initiative. Mattea has also assisted in the implementation and research of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® and the coordination of the REACH-AZ socioemotional support warmline. Mattea is a CRM Certified Teacher. Mattea's research interests include a focus on trauma, individual and group resilience, and intervention science.
