Biography

Ivelisse Lopez-Gonzalez received her bachelors degree in sociology from California State University Northridge and her masters degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. For two decades, Ms. Lopez-Gonzalez has worked in Arizona for both government and non-profit organizations. Her work experience includes community-based care management, medical social work, and gerontology. Ms. Lopez-Gonzalez began teaching as a faculty associate for ASU in 2007. She has taught courses in both the bachelor's and master's social work degree programs and continue to do so now as a full-time instructor. Ms. Lopez-Gonzalez is a member of the National Association of Social Workers- Arizona Chapter.  In addition to working, Ms. Lopez-Gonzalez recognizes the importance of self-care by taking time to enjoy hobbies such as hiking, yoga and traveling.
